Hey guys! Here’s two versions…

Hey guys! Here are two versions of my scavenger hunt poster.

The first is the final with a “magnifying glass” effect on the text, and the second is an alternate without the effect.

Hey Marshall, these posters are absolutely amazing! I was a big fan of your initial design but since then, they’ve come even further along. What I love about these posters is how dynamic they are, and the way in which the eye travels along with the flow of information. They also have a playful yet mysterious quality to them, possibly because you play with the scale of the magnifying glasses as well (it’s also easier to identify them as magnifying glasses). As a client, you’ve been an amazing designer to work with and I’ve been so impressed with the way you made thumbnails for every single idea, both ones which I suggested and ones which I didn’t. I am curious though, which of the two posters above do you think work better: magnification or no magnification?

  Thanks so much, Zawar! I loved the direction you wanted for these and really enjoyed working on them as well. Personally I think it’s not a question of which is better but what do you want to convey more. I like the magnification for a slightly more playful vibe and no magnification for a more serious tone that conveys mystery a little more.
